I am so excited to share with you some yummy, scrumptious,
and delicious desserts from Shari’s Berries. The company is owned by FTD, which
is the official floral provider of the Tournament of Roses and I would like to
share what I think about two amazing products that taste great and are lovely
gifts to give on Valentine’s Day.
Vanilla Bean Cake:
My daughter's birthday was this month and she likes the taste of vanilla, so
this Shari’s Berries Vanilla Bean Cake was perfect for the occasion. The cake
arrived at my home very quickly, and was kept cold in transit by two ice packs.
The first thing that I noticed upon
seeing the cake was that it appeared a tad smaller than I expected it to be,
but because I was not going to be serving the cake to many people, I thought the
size was perfectly alright. I know that the cake can accommodate at least 6 to
8 people. The Vanilla Bean Cake did not have any decorations on it for a birthday,
but if you would like to have birthday sprinkles and embellishments on the cake you can have it at no extra charge. This beautiful cake is
lovely to look at and eat with a smooth, creamy texture, and topped with a butter
cream icing. It is not too sweet and has flickers of vanilla bean speckled and
sprinkled on top and within the two layers of the cake. The layers are separated
by a whipped cream mousse that is not too thick and the entire interior and
exterior of the cake is an elegant off-white color and is certified Kosher. I do
think that for the price, the cake could have been a little bit bigger, but my
daughter thoroughly enjoyed it for her birthday and so did I. The size of the cake is 7" and is priced
at $49.99.
Dipped CheesecakeTrio & Full Dozen Fancy Strawberries: When I received the Dipped Cheesecake Trio & Full Dozen
Fancy Strawberries, I noticed that it came nicely packaged. Upon removing the
lid, I was in awe and pleasantly surprised by how large the chocolate covered strawberries
were. In fact, the strawberries were so large and beautiful that I felt that I had
to immediately take a picture of them to share with all of you. The Dipped
Cheesecake Trio came as three small sized cheesecakes in a box and all three
cheesecakes are dipped in dark chocolate- one has chocolate swirls on the top,
another is topped with white chocolate shavings, and the last one has nuts and
marshmallows on it. Each chocolate covered strawberry was covered with dark or
white chocolate and beautifully embellished. I could sit down and eat one
strawberry with tea and would be filled. I have never seen or tasted chocolate strawberries
like the ones from Shari’s Berries and highly recommend trying them, because
they are fresh, juicy, sweet, do not have a bitter or sour taste to them, and
the chocolate covering has a wonderful flavor that blends well with the
strawberries. I would like to add that
it is best to serve and eat the strawberries fresh from the box after de-thawing
them.
The three cheesecakes are not that big, but each one can serve two
people. Just cut each one in half for
two people to enjoy. They have such a rich flavor and creamy texture that is
sure to please even the pickiest of eaters and they are perfect paired with
tea.
